§ the basics

what is worne?

a marketplace for clothing that creators have actually worn. every garment is embedded with a cryptographic chip at our warehouse, worn through documented sessions by a verified creator, then sold to you with the full wear history attached. you tap the chip on arrival to confirm it's the same piece.

how is this different from a regular resale site?

regular resale sites operate on trust — they have no way to prove the item is what the seller claims. worne controls the supply: every piece originates from our warehouse, carries an unforgeable nfc chip, and ships sealed in tamper-evident packaging. the chip generates a unique code on each tap that we verify against our records.

is worne adult content?

no. worne is a clothing marketplace with a verification layer. creators we work with come from many platforms (streaming, fitness, fashion, adult). we don't host content of any kind — we only handle the garment lifecycle and verification.

is there an age requirement?

yes — you must be 18 or older to use worne. age verification (id + selfie) is required before your first purchase.

§ for buyers

how do i know the piece is real?

every listing shows the full wear history before you buy — hours worn, what event type (sleep, workout, stream, etc.), and the creator's verified identity. when the package arrives, you tap the chip with your phone and our system confirms it's the same piece you ordered.

what if the chip doesn't scan?

open a dispute from the order page. we have full chain-of-custody for every piece — chip events at the warehouse, every wear tap, every shipping scan — so we can investigate and refund or replace as appropriate.

can i return something?

because of the personal nature of worn apparel, items aren't returnable for change-of-mind. you can open a dispute if the chip fails to verify, the tamper-evident packaging arrived broken, or the item materially differs from the listing.

what does it cost?

the listed price is what you pay — it includes the platform's commission. shipping is calculated at checkout. there's no separate platform fee on top of the listing price.

can i resell something i bought?

yes. once you own a verified piece, you can list it for resale on worne. a creator royalty (typically 5–10%) is automatically routed to the original creator, and the chip's history follows the item indefinitely.

§ for creators

how do i apply?

click 'apply to sell' on the home page or sell-with-us page. fill in your name, email, primary social url, and a short pitch. we review applications and send invites to creators that fit the cohort. we're in open beta so we're moving carefully.

what do i need to start selling?

after we issue you an invite: an email-verified account, an age verification on file, a shipping address (where we send chipped garments), and a payout method.

how does the wear-then-sell flow work?

two paths. (a) buyer-initiated: a buyer commits to a piece in a specific size; we ship the chipped garment to you, you wear it through the agreed number of sessions (logging each via nfc tap), then you ship it to the buyer sealed. (b) creator-initiated: you pre-purchase chipped inventory, wear it whenever, list it when you're ready.

what counts as a wear session?

any documented stretch you're wearing the piece — tag it as casual, sleep, stream, workout, photoshoot, going-out, etc. you tap the chip to start, optionally attach a photo or short clip, and tap again when you take it off (the end tap is optional).

how do i get paid?

payouts release after the buyer taps the chip to confirm receipt, or automatically 5 days after carrier-confirmed delivery if they don't. payouts go through ccbill / segpay / similar adult-friendly processors. you can set up your payout method on your account settings.

do you take a cut?

yes. worne takes up to 20% commission on each sale and a small margin on the chipped garment itself. that funds the chip cost, the verification infrastructure, fulfillment support, and dispute handling.

§ verification & the chip

what's the chip?

an nxp ntag424 dna nfc chip embedded into each garment at the warehouse. when you tap it with a phone, it generates a unique one-time code that we verify against our records. you can't forge the code without the physical chip — and we control where chips come from.

what phones can read the chip?

any nfc-capable phone — most ios and android devices from the last several years. open the camera or a generic nfc reader app, tap the chip, follow the link.

what if the chip is damaged?

rare but possible. open a dispute and we'll verify the item through photo evidence and the rest of the chain-of-custody log (warehouse events, session media, shipping scans). if the chip is broken on arrival, we'll refund or replace.

does the chip track me after i own it?

no. the chip is passive — it has no battery and no gps. it only does anything when someone physically taps it with a phone. the only thing in our log is the tap events that happen on-platform.

§ shipping & packaging

how is it packaged?

every piece ships in a tamper-evident vacuum-sealed bag provided by us. the creator photographs the sealed package before shipping. if the bag is broken on arrival, that's grounds for a dispute.

how long does shipping take?

depends on the path. for buyer-initiated commissions: shipping to the creator + wear window + shipping to you (typically 2–4 weeks total). for pieces already in rotation: 3–7 business days from purchase.

do you ship internationally?

us-only at launch. international expansion comes after we work through customs handling for chipped goods.

§ account & payment

what payment methods are accepted?

credit card via our payment processor (ccbill / segpay — adult-friendly so transactions process reliably). your full card number is never stored on our servers.

how do i delete my account?

email us at hello@worne.co and we'll process the deletion within 30 days. ongoing orders complete under the original terms before deletion takes effect.

do you store my card number?

no. cards are tokenized by our processor. we store only the brand, last 4, and expiration — enough to display saved methods, not enough to use them outside the processor.
